Workshops/Training for Staff
Managing Behaviour
This session provides participants with a deeper understanding of the ‘whys’ of behaviour, positive ways to think about behaviour and tools to use to help people behave differently. Based on the belief that all behaviour occurs for a reason and people will behave according to expectations. The cornerstones for Susan’s approach to helping change behaviours are: look at the whole person; use the person’s strengths and build; be solution focussed; and everyone can change.
The Staff-Parent connection
Parent goals, client goals and staff responsibilities are not always a smooth road. As a staff you are aware of and participating in situations where there is not always agreement. This workshop offers participants the opportunity to learn how to work with all parties to reach agreement and work effectively together.
Making it happen
Implementing plans for clients for success. Providing support for a person’s plan means participating in partnership with families and other community organizations. Retrain your staff, enhancing their capacity to participate successfully in partnerships.
